PROJECTS: Temperance Hall
LaKritz Adler acquired, restored and expanded this boutique retail building near the Georgia Avenue Metro Station in order to answer community calls for the first "sit-down" restaurant on Georgia in decades. LaKritz Adler joined with D.C. restaurateur Joe Englert to open the Temperance Hall restaurant (now called Looking Glass Lounge), a 1920s-themed restaurant and bar, and recruited YogaHouse, Georgia Avenue’s first Yoga and meditation center, to occupy the upper floors of the building.
